BIG WHITE TOTE
Spring/summer 2020 campaign film for LA-based slow fashion brand BIG WHITE TOTE is a celebration of the diversity of the city. Completed right before Covid-19, the short spontaneously brought creatives from different walks of life together -- restaurant, entertainment, music, contemporary art industries, using a handmade fashion item from the brand as a narrator to tell a story of the city and its people.

Born and raised in Shanghai, Qingyi Dong founded an LA-based slow fashion brand named BIG WHITE TOTE in 2018. The motivation behind the brand came from a documentary film revealing the "The True Cost" of the current fashion industry caused by unconscious consumption and mass production. Believing in the possibility of transferring feelings through handmade items, the brand provides young professionals with day-to-day urban fashion that are not mass-produced.
Try to take the most empathetic routes.
