BFDI:TPOT 2: The Worst Day of Black Hole’s Life

Battle for Dream Island (BFDI) is an animated competition show where the audience votes to eliminate a character each episode.

Twelve years (and 63 episodes) into this interactive storyline, the fifth season (“BFDI: The Power of Two”) introduces a new host. Two “steals” the cast of 43 competitors from previous hosts Four and X before taking the show’s challenges in a new direction.

Director Biography - Michael Yiming Huang, Cary Kaiming Huang, Satomi Hinatsu

Cary and Michael Huang, "The Huang Twins", were born in 1997 in Berkeley, CA and graduated from Campolindo High School in 2015. Cary received his Computer Science B.A. from Stanford University in 2019, while Michael is currently attending San Francisco State University with a major in Cinema.

Satomi Hinatsu (born 1998) joined in 2017 and acted as show-runner for TPOT 1 and 2.

Director Statement

Hi! This is Michael Huang. I animated the first episode of BFDI with my twin brother Cary while we attended Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School in 2009.

We started making TPOT 2 in 2022 during my first year at San Francisco State University and published it before my 2nd year began.

This episode received 77,758 audience votes during the two-day voting period when it was released!
