BETWEEN SUMMERS

ELLA, a near-retirement Public School Vice-Principal goes rogue with frustration at bad student’s behaviour and their bad parents.

Her methods risk a cause for dismissal losing her retirement-benefits on a cause for change to the students’ benefit.

In today’s schools, Teachers see a daily convergence of Police and Medical drama.
In the last years of her dead-end job, Ella wants to save kids from a dead-end life.
They feel entitled to abusive disrespect of authority, criminal activity and violence, -hot-button triggers for Ella to school bad parents and save one kid at a time.

She’s seen too many bad kids and parents abuse the system to their advantage
And too many good kids and parents make diligent efforts but suffer consequences

Pilot Ep. - Operation Goosepoops
Ella struggles to organize a free Summer Program in the park
to get her “at-risk” students off their drug-laden and crime-ridden streets
but meets with nasty objections from their drug-addled and criminal parents.

Writer Statement

My literary favourite is G.B Shaw.
At age 15 in High School English class, I was greatly influenced by his play
MRS WARREN'S PROFESSION, not so much for the salacious subject matter he made sociable to discuss, but because he taught me to understand the other side of judicious morality.

I am mindful to do justice to Shaw's elevated views of morality and the depiction of common decency in those we see as below us and the defects in those we see as above us.

I offer a unique talent for compelling visuals and controversial dialogue driven in the context of mainstream projects featuring light comedy and music in TV and Film.

My work is highly praised by industry pros and I've worked in TV production
My poetry has been published in the USA and I'm the invited headliner at readings.

I pride myself on successful collaborations to established franchises as well as writing to targeted audiences, casting and production budgets
I'm a very centered, well adjusted earthy person
-no drugs no drama no demons
but driven!
