Betsy
Betsy is a satirical take on the way society deals with homelessness by using empty platitudes that ultimately give way to cutthroat capitalism. While driving home, a real estate agent (Betsy) sees a homeless man shivering in the cold. As she reflects upon the state of the homelessness crisis, Betsy struggles with her own complicity before deciding to take action.

Originally from Southeast Texas, George studied film at Oberlin College and NYU Tisch. As a production assistant on Deadwood, George met the show's iconic creator David Milch, who became his writing mentor. George later sold a pilot script to Anonymous Content about a modern day Bonnie & Clyde. This is his directorial debut.
During Covid, I noticed a strange feeling that began to permeate throughout Los Angeles as homeless encampments began to proliferate throughout the city. As these encampments grew in size and number, they seemed to draw out a dark side of society. Betsy is a response.
