Azizi confesses a true story
The documentary is based on the confessions of survivors of the internment camps, established during the first years of persecution by the communist regime.
In the spring of 1948, 14-year-old Azizi, along with their mother and sisters, were sent by force to internment camps. The communist regime forcibly displaced thousands of families, mostly children, older women, many of whom never returned to their homeland. One of their preys was Azizi, the main character of the film, who recounts the events in Kuçova, Berat, Turan and Tepelena camps. Azizi experiences the deaths of hundreds of children from hunger and illness, his own mother's loss and the events that occur every day, among the interned survivors. In the Tepelena camp, following an accident during the wood-carrying work on the mountain, Azizi is being treated at the nursing home and later on appointed as a nursing assistant.
The white coat gives Aziz the opportunity to be closer to the internees' sufferings, helping them as best as he could.
After closing the camp, Aziz left alone, leaves the white coat and continues his internment from home for another 37 years until the collapse of the communist regime.
The film ends with the birth of Aziz's first son in the barracks.
