When I was 6 I got my first access to imovie on a little iPod. I started filming everywhere and everything I could, making home movies, trailers, game shows, basically whatever came into my mind. From that moment on all I did was film! And the production company I named when I was six, "Punch Panda Studios" stuck!
Now I am in high school and I'm working on my own short films. Right now I am working on some personal film projects and scripts. I've created a PSA, "express your voice", to show other girls that they can advocate their causes through their passions which is what I hope to do with my movies! I have also attended the Imagination Stage Filmmaking Academy and New York Film Academy's Summer Film Program.
I'm a big advocate for women in film through my blog "Ayana's Direction", social media, and creating my own films to inspire and further women in this world. My biggest inspirations are Ava DuVernay, Mira Nair, and Greta Gerwig.
