Director’s Biography (EN)
Mehmet Devrim Çatal was born in Samsun on August 21, 1999. He completed his university education at Gazi University, Department of Finance. Due to his interest in cinema and acting during his university life, he received his education at Pacific Film Production "media and acting academy". Thanks to the technical and practical knowledge he learned during the education, he shot his first project, "Hoşaf" (2021). After that, he continued his short films with the movie "Parallel Apartments" (2021), which he shot in the same year. Later, with his experience and determination to become a director, he realized the projects "Bir Ölür Bin Ölürüz" (2022) and "Şaşar Veysel İşbu Hale" (2022) in 2022. Both films were included in the special selection at the International Göbeklitepe Film Festival. Then, until the first half of 2023, he received training in script, acting, camera and lighting techniques and shot his first professional movie "A Session With The Clown". He continues his career with a new produced movie " The Badge of Flame" (2025).

Mehmet Devrim Çatal, 21 Ağustos 1999’da Samsun’da doğdu. Üniversite eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi-Maliye bölümünde tamamladı. Üniversite hayatında sinemaya ve oyunculuğa olan merakından dolayı Pasific Film Production “medya ve oyunculuk akademisi”nde eğitimini aldı. Eğitim esnasında öğrendiği teknik ve pratik bilgiler sayesinde ilk projesi olan “Hoşaf”(2021) filmini çekti. Bunun üzerine aynı sene içerisinde çektiği “Paralel Apartmanlar” (2021) filmiyle, kısa filmlerine devam etti. Daha sonrasında edindiği tecrübe ve yönetmenliğe olan kararlılığıyla 2022 senesinde “Bir Ölür Bin Ölürüz” (2022) ve “Şaşar Veysel İşbu Hale” (2022 ) projelerini hayata geçirdi. Uluslararası Göbeklitepe Film Festivali’nde her iki filmi de özel seçkiye alındı. Bunun üzerine 2023 yılının ilk yarısına kadar senaryo, oyunculuk, kamera ve ışık teknikleri eğitimlerini almasıyla profesyonel anlamda ilk filmi “Palyaço ile Bir Seans”ı çekti. 2025 yapımı Ateşten Rozet filmi ile sinema kariyerine devam ediyor.
