Director Statement

As a filmmaker and parent, I am committed to telling stories that explore the complex issues surrounding mental health and friendship in children. Through my work, I hope to shed light on the unique challenges that young people face when navigating these topics and spark important conversations about the importance of emotional support and understanding. By showcasing the impact that strong friendships can have on a child's mental health, I aim to inspire audiences to prioritize the power of human connection and empathy in their own lives and communities. My goal is to create a film that not only entertains but also educates. I believe it is our responsibility as artists, to use our platform to shed light on important issues, and there are few issues more important than mental health in children. Our young people are facing unprecedented levels of stress and anxiety, and it is our duty to tell their stories with empathy and compassion. Through our films, we can help break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage young people and their parents, to seek the support and resources they need. By addressing mental health in children, we are not only creating art but also promoting healing, growth, and resilience in our communities. I am honored to be a part of this important conversation, and I hope that through our work, we can inspire positive change in the world around us.
