Armande 1968
Armande 1968 is a French/English short film written and directed by Mac Escalante. The story is a retelling of a 1718 duel between Armande and Vicomtesse over an affair they both had with a French Diplomat named Vignerot. The film has been re-set during the 1968 Paris Protests in order to modernize the aesthetics of the story for the re-creation of this segment of French history.

Mac Escalante is a 26 year old filmmaker and is a graduate from the University of Georgia. He is also an alumnus of Georgia Film Academy and has completed three film production courses for the Atlanta film industry. Escalante's entrance to the film business began when he wrote, acted in, and directed his first student film titled "Aubrey's Understandings". It was then released to several international film festivals in 2022 and became a successful phenomenon. After the film's impact, Escalante continues to write new scripts and is currently working on the post-production of his next film "Armande 1968" coming soon for 2025.
The arts are possibly the most important qualities to our society. They inspire, shape, and develop us to those we are today. It is our duty as filmmakers to explore the importance of the arts and how cinema can capture life itself.
