salman alvares is a filmmaker based in tegal,Indonesia but he domiciled in yogyakarta when he started his career in film, he started producing his short films when he was in college and now he is still a student at yogyakarta film academy college, during his study at jfa (Jogja film academy) he directed the film Arkian world premiere at london film festival 2023.

Director Statement

13-year-olds can experience an identity crisis. Adolescence is a period of development that is often associated with identity crisis, as during this time individuals begin to undergo significant physical, emotional, social and cognitive changes. During this time, they may begin to question who they really are, what their values and beliefs are, and how they want to be seen by others.

Factors such as physical development, hormonal changes, social pressures, exploration of interpersonal relationships, and exploration of personal interests and talents can be triggers for identity crisis in adolescents. Some adolescents may face difficult questions about sexual identity, religion, personal values and life goals.

In this movie I describe my childhood, which was broken home, where I went I was never cared for by my family, always camped out when at home and never got a good upbringing as a child should be taught and given goals by his own parents.Then why did you leave us alone?
