Ariel
Love Perseveres
Three unlikely friends with special needs challenge societal expectations and form an unbreakable bond, but when the nonverbal member of the group misses a message from the guy who loves her before he passes away from a heart condition, their friendship is put to the ultimate test.--
The star of the film is Ariel Garcia, who has nonverbal autism, epilepsy, and Tuberous Sclerosis. The film also stars Matthew Whetman who has traumatic brain injury (resulting in visual/hearing impairment) and Spencer Burton who has Downs Syndrome.
Ariel is a film that centers its dreamy story around the inner dialogues, hopes, fears, and dreams of individuals within the special needs community through the lens of friendship, love, and loss.
Starring Brianna Oppenheimer as the voice of Ariel. Featuring an original song by Peter “Wolfeman” Wolfe and Patrick “Brummel” Balfe. Score by Gerry Garcia.
Ariel Garcia was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1993. Ariel was

My experience and expertise comes from starting in the film industry as a child actor when I was five years old. By being fortunate enough to share the silver screen with the likes of George Lopez, Nick Cassavetes, and achieving balance by maintaining blue collar roots, I have picked up a technical prowess that is matched by a true and authentic working class ethic/ethos. During the pandemic, I was fortunate to be invited by Kamal Sinclair/Jessica Clark to write an introductory article for The Guild of Future Architects, a collaborative project between Sundance and MIT.
My sincerest hopes is to finish an animal rights documentary I am currently working on entitled “Lagloom”, and additionally champion Afro-Latino/Indigenous/Workers/Sephardic causes with my current and future projects.
I seek to connect with a disconnected world and to consistently blur the line between improbable and impossible, by any means necessary. -Bernie Garcia
