April 15th
April 15th is a sensory exploration of memory as a creative act. Starting with the primal image of the maternal, the film quickly spirals into a rhythmic montage of historical fragments—from the lunar surface to the streets of Havana. Utilizing an “unreliable narrator” approach to film editing, the piece discards chronological truth in favor of emotional geography. Here, Sartre wanders through Marrakesh and cities are born from raindrops, proving that the past is not a fixed record, but a filmstrip waiting to be cut.

Victor Rodolfo Jimenez was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1965. He is a prominent film and television producer, as well as a writer. In the audiovisual field, he has worked in advertising, short films, video poetry and documentaries, some of which have been recognized at International Film Festivals.
His poetry has been published in several magazines in the United States, Europe and Latin America. He is the author of the poetry collections “Seven Cities” and “Ilusorium”, and also has three unpublished manuscripts: “A mammoth in the Backyard”, “Alien Creature”, and “Cassette”. Currently, Victor resides in Miami, where he continues developing his career and exploring new forms of artistic expression.
Víctor Rodolfo Jiménez is a poet-filmmaker and “crazy editor” of his own history. Born at the intersection of word and image, his work functions as a digital Moviola, where archival ghosts and modern textures collide. Having spent a lifetime navigating the geographies of Cuba and the United States, Jiménez treats the film frame as a sovereign territory—one where rain can build a city and memory is the only honest lens. His films have been recognized internationally for their rhythmic intensity and their refusal to let the past remain static. He currently lives and dreams in Homestead, Florida, where he continues to organize the absurd into art.
