Our short film "A Phone Call," the narrative revolves around the emotional journey of a young boy who is going through a very difficult day. The film highlights the weight of his personal struggles and how they affect him internally. However, when he receives an unexpected phone call from his mother, the boy pretends everything is fine, concealing his true feelings and worries.
This moment captures a powerful, relatable theme—how we often mask our pain or challenges in front of loved ones to avoid worrying them or to maintain a sense of normalcy. The boy's response to the phone call illustrates the contrast between what he feels inside and what he projects outwardly, highlighting themes of emotional resilience, vulnerability, and human connection.

Jamil hossain is a young filmmaker from Bangladesh.He was born on 30 march 2000.From the childhood Hossain was fond of watching movie. His feeling for movie,attracted him for become a filmmaker. He want to tell story on his own way.

Now, Jamil is student of Chittagong university of Engineering and Technology.

Director Statement

As an engineering student, I sometimes faced academic and personal challenges. One day, I was having a particularly bad day and felt completely blank about what to do. Suddenly, my mom called me, and in that moment, I forgot about my troubles. This experience inspired me to tell a story. My friend and I decided to create a short film dedicated to every beautiful mother around the globe.
