Dr. Gillian Velmer is a licensed speech-language pathologist working in public schools in central New Jersey. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of Sing Aphasia, a nonprofit that empowers individuals and families affected by aphasia to find their voices and connect with others through music, education, and community. Dr. Velmer is the co-founder of the International Aphasia Choir, along with Trent Barrick of Neuro Music Therapy, LLC. She is grateful for the quality education she received from Westminster Choir College and Kean University, as both guided her to the rewarding career path that she leads today.
