Annika co-runs The Motor, a Stockholm–based independent film production company, which produced the award-winning documentary Philosopher of the sea. Since starting the company in 2017, Annika works with creatives on commercials, new media, and television and VOD formats either as a producer, line producer or assistant director. She is also the head of production at The Motor.

She dove into the film industry in 2017 after working in various industries. Beginning with marketing and sales management and leading up to production management. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Design management from Stockholm University and Vrije University in Amsterdam.
