Anne and Juliet

When Juliet tells her older sister Anne that she will leave the family business to become a professional photographer, their already difficult relationship reaches breaking point. But this is just the prelude to even more dramatic events. How will Juliet react, torn between her lifelong dream and her devotion to the family? Will Anne eventually understand and support her little sister? And how can they find a new equilibrium that will go beyond life and death?

Director Biography - Carmine Pariante

Psychiatrist, academic, writer, doctor, and aspiring movie director, Carmine Pariante was born in Naples, Italy, from a family of doctors, singers and artists. He moved to London in 1997 to work at King's College London as a Professor of Psychiatry. After a 3-day Intensive Filmmaker Course at the MetFilm School in 2005, Carmine registers with the Raindance Film School, where he completes the Filmmaker’s Diploma in 2006, comprising several modules in writing, directing, editing and producing. After completing the course, Carmine writes, directs and produces his first short, Anne and Juliet, in 2008. The shooting takes place over one week in locations around London, with an international cast and crew.
