LA-based New Zealand filmmaker Anna Parsons first discovered her passion for storytelling through theater growing up in rural New Zealand. She achieved a Bachelor's degree in Theater studies from the University of Otago and spent one year studying abroad at the University of California, Berkeley.
Eager to explore all aspects of filmmaking, Anna has worked in a variety of production and off-camera roles including producing, writing, and editing.
Her foray into indie filmmaking started with Retrograde, a female produced web-series that Parsons created, co-wrote, produced, and starred in, premiered at LA International Shorts Fest in 2021, and continued on to have a successful festival run.
She is currently working on several projects including her next horror short film concept and feature film script Temperance.
