Andrew J. Yang is an American pianist who has been described by The San Francisco Examiner as “a prodigy, [running] the emotional gamut from brooding introspection to manic exuberance”. He resides in Patreksfjörður, Iceland, where he is the founder and artistic director of the Westfjords Piano Festival. In 2019, Yang received the top prize from the 30th International FLAME Piano Competition in Paris, France, and in 2018, received a “White Rose” Presidential Award for musical excellence from the President of Finland, SauliNiinistö.
