Experiencing Interruptions?

And Still

a music video for Peter Gabriel's song "and Still" from his album I/O, done entirely with ai. Inspired by the music and lyrics of the song, this work explores the theme of departed loved ones and those they leave behind. The creative process included reading Peter's interviews about the song's genesis, researching expressions of remembrance in art and culture, and noting personal associations evoked by the lyrics and reflections on loss. The central theme that emerged is that of empty homes symbolizing the absence of their former inhabitants. Starlings are used to represent the pervasive wonder and mystery that exists all around us, before and after we are here.

Director Biography - arielko ai

An ai artist & explorer, arielko has been fascinated by the intersection of art & technology for as long as he can remember. After an extensive career in the very best branding and advertising agencies – from New York to Tel Aviv – he found himself drawn into the world of artificial intelligence, turning it into his creative playground. His work has been exhibited globally, his ai films have been selected for festivals worldwide, and he considers ai not a tool or a replacement for the artist, but rather a partner in creation, one which can enrich the process, surprise and excite.

Instead of trying to control the result, arielko uses an approach he calls “non-prompting” – minimum instructions, maximum freedom for the machine. This leads him to unexpected, sometimes even prophetic results. In his works, he examines how ai can help us understand ourselves better, plays with memory and emotion, and creates experiences that go beyond just an image on a screen.
