Butterfly Effect (Eye Color Dreams Music)
This project explores the essence of personal transformation through a captivating visual narrative. The journey begins with “The Cocoon”, where subtle tones evoke a period of reflection and preparation. As the narrative progresses to “The Awakening”, the images become more vibrant, symbolizing the transition from introspection to a dynamic and expressive state. Finally, “The Butterfly” reveals the culmination of this metamorphosis, with vivid and energetic images celebrating the arising of personal fulfillment and freedom.
Each phase of this project is a testament to the resilience and beauty that emerge from the process of renewal. Offering a visual meditation on the rise and celebration of personal growth, which is always collective. Inspired by the butterfly effect theory, suggests that small changes can create significant impacts.

Ana Magalhães is a multidisciplinary artist and music composer based in Portugal. She began creating video art during her studies at ESAD.CR – School of Arts and Design, developing a strong interest in experimental film. Early works such as Contact (2011), Looking Up (2012), and Breathe (2012) reflect this formative period, marked by intuitive exploration and symbolic composition.
Later, Ana began integrating her illustration practice with moving images, resulting in hybrid works that combined hand-drawn aesthetics with poetic animation. Bird Whisper (2021) is a key example of this fusion, where visual storytelling meets personal mythology.
More recently, Ana has continued her exploration of video art with Butterfly Effect and Life Opening (2025), deepening her connection between image, movement, and sound. Dream Seed (2025) marks a new phase, combining visual art with her original musical composition.
