He is an assistant professor of film at Middle Georgia State University.
I come from Iran in the Middle East. Since 2019 when I came to the US to study filmmaking, I always had this question in my mind; how do the people of the US, especially those who had lost one of their beloveds in the wars in the Middle East, behave toward the immigrants from these countries?
The story of An Endoscopy comes from this question and it is an exploration of the human experience, delving into the complexities of war, grief, and connection. The film intertwines the narratives of a Black American and an Iraqi immigrant, forging a unique bond amidst a major medical procedure.
