Based on the popular game, this is a live-action version of what the game would be like if it was real. 7 players, who are strangers, are invited to the "Household Map" of the game. Once the rules are given to them, it gives the players all the more reasons why to not trust one another.

Director Biography - Amarii Usher

Amarii Usher was born in Miami, FL on July 18th, 1996. Ever since he was about 8 or 9 years old, he has always wanted to become some type of artist. He started drawing in elementary, and continued throughout middle school. He found a love for music in the 8th grade and he started rapping. In high school, he was known to be a rapper, where you probably would've found him “freestyling” in front of a crowd. Amarii took it very serious. He continued throughout his senior year when he made his first YouTube video. He started making videos to promote his music more but as the months went by, the videos overpowered the music. He slacked on writing songs and started writing skits and rants. His inspiration came from watching Spoken Reasons & Tre Melvin. He never realized how funny he was until people started mentioning it to him. Making regular videos & skits was just a start for him, he wanted to make actual films. So, he wrote his first short film the end of 2014, got his first camera, hand picked his cast members, and made it happen! Amarii released his short film January 2015. He received such great feedback. He received some criticism as well but, he definitely needed that at the time because that only will make him learn to do better in the future. Amarii still made skits throughout the years and he started involving his friends into his skits so that they could get some type of recognition as well. He created his first web series called “30 Reasons” around Jan. 2016. Released it that summer but it failed, unfortunately. He didn’t want to make another web series until he found a reliable cast who took it just as serious as he did. To take a break from what he wanted for "30 Reasons", he created a mini-series called “If Kid Flash was from the Hood” around May 2017. In August 2017, he created a spin-off for "30 Reasons" and called it “30 More Reasons” and that most definitely blew up on social media. Amarii is currently working on multiple projects and short films. This is only the beginning for Amarii.

Director Statement

I was inspired by the game "Among Us" to create this film because of the popularity behind it. Creating a film based off a game is one of the most creative things you could do, as a filmmaker, as opposed to making a game based off a film. The whole process of this film was finished in a week. From writing it to editing it. It wasn't easy to complete at all, being that it was a last minute project. Finding a location was the hardest because I wanted a big enough house to have different tasks going on in each section of the house. This is actually my first project that was on a budget. Spending money to create a film was always something I wanted to avoid but knowing eventually, it had to be done; and overall, the money was well spent.
