Mexican artist creator of the name that now bears this program: No Budget Animation. He studied Visual Arts at ENAP-UNAM and at the Université Laval, in Quebec. She is currently an animation professor at the FAD Academia de San Carlos and at the Tec de Monterrey CCM and a teacher at Scene: Animation School. Her experience as a filmmaker has led her to receive awards and recognition at various national and international film and animation festivals.

Nuria is the "Mama Gallina" of No Budget Animation by following the development of each animated project, from its approach to its dissemination. His job is to make the production machinery work, always thinking about the welfare of all participants. The goal: to show the world the results of so much effort.

Actualmente es profesora de animación en la FAD Academia de San Carlos y en el Tec de Monterrey CCM y docente en Escena: Escuela de Animación. Su experiencia como realizadora la ha llevado a recibir galardones y reconocimientos en distintos festivales nacionales e internacionales de cine y animación.

Nuria es la “Mamá Gallina” de No Budget Animation al seguir de la mano la realización de cada proyecto animado, desde su planteamiento hasta su difusión. Su trabajo es hacer que la maquinaria de producción funcione, siempre pensando en el bienestar de todos los participantes. La meta: enseñarle al mundo los resultados de tanto esfuerzo.

Hélène Matte has been working in Québec City’s cultural scene for over twenty years as a multitalented free agent. She is a writer and a poet, a curator and a mediator, a performer and a visual artist, a mother and a citizen. Her artistic practice examines the notions of the voice, encounters and experimental poetry. She practices action art, draws and writes. While Matte has exhibited and performed in Europe, Canada and elsewhere in the Americas, she is also active locally, initiating and coordinating unifier’s projects. Hélène Matte regularly publishes her work and has directed and produced numerous works of video poetry.

Poète indisciplinaire et travailleuse culturelle depuis plus de vingt ans à Québec, Hélène Matte est un électron libre portant de nombreux chapeaux : écrivaine, commissaire et médiatrice, performeure et artiste visuelle, mère de famille et citoyenne. Sa pratique investit les notions de voix, de rencontre et d’art-action. Elle a réalisé des expositions et performances ailleurs dans le monde, mais agit aussi au niveau local où elle initie des projets de médiation culturelle. Détentrice d’une maîtrise en arts visuels et PhD. en Littérature, art de la scène et de l’écran de l’Université Laval, elle a publié des dizaines d’articles dans les revues culturelles québécoises ainsi que des recueils de poésie. Elle a plus d’une trentaine de courts-métrages à son actif en tant que productrice, réalisatrice ou poète-narratrice. Plusieurs de ceux-ci ont été projetés dans des festivals internationaux et ont été lauréats de mention et de prix.
