Athina Chatzigiannaki is a filmmaker exploring memory, time, and personal storytelling through intimate, character-driven documentaries and shorts. SWAP is her latest work, continuing her interest in identity, perspective, and the emotional textures of everyday life.
SWAP grew from a fascination with how people shift roles, perceptions, and emotions in small, intimate moments. I wanted to capture humor, vulnerability, and quiet power in ordinary interactions, using fragmented narratives and visual rhythm to mirror the fluidity of identity. The film is a meditation on connection, transformation, and the surprising ways our private selves intersect.
