Alix Austin is an award-winning Director/Producer, focusing on female-led, diversity driven narrative films. Initially training as an Actress at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD), she soon found her love for working behind the camera, as well as in front of it.
She comes from a mixed European background, born in England, raised in Switzerland, speaking both English and German fluently. She has directed and produced music videos and short films including Best Film winning #conniesflat and Raindance shortlisted Webseries Jess & Tess Solve Shit.
In 2016 she directed True Value, which was funded by the Bruce Millar Trust, starring Red Madrell (Kidulthood, Skins), which screened at the BFI Women of the World and Underwire Festival.
She most recently produced RETCH, a short, visceral horror film, which is currently enjoying its festival run.
