Experiencing Interruptions?

Alien Hand Syndrome - Entwined

For the video to “Entwined” musician Alien Hand Syndrome alias Clemens Engert teamed up with Austria’s most promising young film maker Max Rino to create a piece of pure magic. While the first 70 seconds of the video are (in accordance with the musical arrangement) very intimate and set in an indoor scenery, the visual impressions become more and more haunting as the song evolves and draw the viewer into a fascinating Tim Burton-like world – a world that is simply stunning with its combination of auditive and visual elements.

The outdoor part of the video was shot in the course of two days in Vienna’s woodland surroundings.

“We didn`t want to create an everyday music video with continuous lip-sync and long performance parts – we were aiming for something much more cinematic. So we had this idea of going into the Vienna Woods and playing with all those fascinating little elements we found there and incorporate them into the clip. It´s all about the combination of the musical and visual atmosphere and building a unified whole. Beyond that I think we managed to create some really nice ‘wow’ moments throughout the video.” (Clemens Engert, Alien Hand Syndrome)
