Além Mar - Bruno de Seda

Music video for the song “Além Mar” by the portuguese artist Bruno de Seda.

Bruno de Seda, wearing his bright white robe, is alone on stage with a guitar. He begins singing: “It’s bad weather in the channel” (a reference to Vitorino Nemésio’s romance), transporting us immediately to Azores, to the sea, a beach, a memory. Revealed by zooms, the scenery is gradually filled with new instruments played by multiple arms, and with objects from his peculiar world. In the end he loses himself in a “labyrinth of pleasures” – he no longer plays guitar, he lights a cigarette and enjoys his brandy – and finally he vanishes on the horizon.
