Adam Seward began taking photos of the vast landscapes of his Cape Breton, Nova Scotia home at the age of 17. From there he graduated from NSCAD University in Halifax with a Major in Photography. in 2010 Adam translated his visual expression into Shooting, Writing and Directing music videos. Adam was also a songwriter/ touring musician and has a strong relationship with sound design and music in his work.
After making his first music video, he was hooked. Rather than create work from two distinct platforms, he married his love for music and movement to creating narrative music videos. This became his focus which has landed him acclaim with Rolling Stone, NME, Vice magazine, Nylon and many others.
In addition to his music video work Adam has worked professionally as Cinematographer, Editor and Director on various commercials, Social media campaigns, Music videos, Web series and Short films.
John and Frank is Adam's first written and directed short film over the pandemic. in Which won Best Short film (Main Category) at Tokyo International Short Film Fest 2022. His second film is a Documentary Short called Dream Tricks:Over A Six Stair which is currently being submitted in the festival circuit with a 2023 release.
