Aalingan

Paavni, brought up by middle class parents in a conservative and traditional Indian household roots is now working in a big city away from her house. This has led her to have a sense of freedom which she never had and has resulted in her coming to terms with her suppressed homosexuality. Since she has found the girl she loves with all her heart, the most difficult task is ahead of her as she is on her way to meet her parents to tell them about the version of their daughter they might want to disown.

A mother who remains in denial about most complexities of the life and a father who has always fulfilled the fatherly duties but it never included a kind word or a warm hug. Parents’ strong opposition was something she was expecting.

But, what she had not expected was a truth which unravels because of this confession of hers. Little did Paavni know that a simple lunch with a predictable outcome will lead to an unpredictable turn into the most complex relationship of her life.
