Aakhir Kaar
Ishaan asks Sree if he's like to venture out. Where, Sree asks. Ishaan suggests Marine Drive. Is that not where all the couples go, Sree is taken aback. The question hangs in the air—are they a couple?
As Ishaan and Sree venture out finally, they embrace public display of affection in a country where homosexuality is neither socially acceptable nor legally sanctioned.

Suryansh Deo Srivastava is a Mumbai-based filmmaker recognized for his sharp socio-political lens and evocative storytelling. His body of work spans music videos, short films, documentaries, and branded content, marked by a strong visual style and a passion for narratives that challenge norms and explore identity.
Growing up queer in India, I struggled to come to terms with my own sexuality as I never saw someone like me in popular culture. Queerness as an idea was a subject of ridicule. While we have innumerable pop culture artefacts that celebrate heterosexual love, the south asian diaspora is still devoid of narratives that capture queer yearning as an ordinary experience.
