Director Statement

As the director of this mini-doc, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to peek into world of Dani Bowman, a completely original and authentic advocate for the autism community. Bonus: she’s an imaginative animator who gives of her talent all day, every day, with her students and mentees! Dani’s life is not just a story of personal triumph, but also a beacon - much like our film production partner Beacon College - of hope for many who find joy and purpose in artful self-expression. This non-fiction piece encapsulates Dani’s unique blend of creativity and resilience. It also showcases her support system, namely her aunt and uncle (and Danimation business partners and LOVE ON THE SPECTRUM series co-stars) Sandy Vielma and Patrick Eidemiller, respectively. At its core, our humble offering herein is a tribute to family ties that triumph and the universal relatability of same. Thanks for your time and attention!
