Director Biography - Zane Barber

Zane grew up on a ranch just North of the New Mexican border working cattle and spending thousands of hours surrounded by wilderness. This gave him a unique eye for the natural beauty in the world him.
Martial arts and wrestling have been another major inspiration. He spent fifteen years pursuing these athletic endeavors. His time engaging in them sharpened his sense of movement in both stunt coordination and camera work. His love for acting began when he acted in his first play at seven and he has been acting ever since.

He has directed many film projects in Colorado and New Mexico ranging from short films, to documentaries, highlight reels, and a PSA for the City of Denver. He has also worked as an actor and/or stuntman in several films; and writes and produces projects like Seventh Wolf (premiering December 2020) and Valhalla's Forsaken (filming January 2021).

Director Statement

I wish to subtly encourage gentlemanly behavior in this increasingly antagonistic world. Common courtesy is not so common anymore and etiquette and decorum have been thrown out the window by many. While there are absurdities in Victorian courting and modern dating, I think a middle ground is the ideal and I want to push for that through the use of comedy.

I also want to use this film to expand my wheelhouse as a director. Since I am most at home with action/adventure, I believed a romantic comedy would challenge me and increase my abilities, and it has.
