A Touch of Colour
Against the stunning backdrop of the Peak District, artist Bob Bernard explores painting and its artistic form. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, Bernard retired early and rediscovered the joy of art, especially taking inspiration from the wild landscape that surrounds his home. This film explores the emotions discovered when painting and how Bob sees Parkinson's as a gift that allows his artistic talent to flourish.

Eddy is a 21-year-old documentary filmmaker based in Manchester. After completing a degree in TV and Radio Production, he discovered a passion for documentary storytelling and is now pursuing an MA in Documentary Production at the University of Salford.
His undergraduate film Bound by Blood; a raw and intimate portrait of bare-knuckle fighter Dean Hunt, explores themes of mental health, discipline, and identity within one of Britain’s most misunderstood subcultures. The film is set to be released next year.
Eddy’s latest short documentary, A Touch of Colour, is currently on its debut festival run. Created for a module in his final year of university, the film follows artist Bob Bernard, who, after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, finds renewed purpose through painting.
