Danish director and editor, graduated in documentary filmmaking from the National Film School of Denmark in 2003. Suvi Andrea Helminen was also a fellow at MIT Open Documentary Lab, a group that explores innovative film formats, bringing technologists, storytellers, and scholars together to advance the new arts of documentary. She has made several documentaries over the past two decades that were screened worldwide at festivals and events, and developed interactive film formats and social experiences. Her work has taken her from Tanzania to Kyrgyzstan, Norway, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, USA, Italy, the North Pole, and other places.
