APINAN - We The Lenca

APINÁN (We The Lenca) is an introspective artistic vision of one of the remnant tribes of Mesoamerican in Honduras ethnicities that is still alive among the 600 thousand people that constitute it.

APINÁN lives among cultivated vegetable meadows, wild flowers, tile houses and colonial remains with a palpable dignity in each of its constituents.

Born in Honduras, I live in the northern part of the country.
Co-founder of Banahna Productions, a company dedicated to the realization of audiovisual work.
Online teacher, web designer, developer system.
Self-taught in the audiovisual arts.
No formal studies in cinematography.

Director Statement

Our intention is to share what we find around us, through the lens of the camera. We believe that an audiovisual piece can help give a voice to those who have been denied the opportunity to tell their story. Our focus is the culture and history of our ethnic groups and society in a country like Honduras.
