A creative hybrid, Jeffrey Lindsay Relf is a writer/director/producer hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Since, Relf has written three feature-length screenplays "85", "An American Punk Tale" and "Burgen". In 2018 he was selected to screen in Outfest / Showtime’s “One-Minute Film Competition”. He’s recently packaged his first docuseries project “Immeasurable: The Color of Fashion”, (represented by CAA) which was an official recipient of the 2020 CNN/Film Independent Docuseries Fellowship, as well as securing a Film Independent 2021 Fiscal Sponsorship selection for his short screenplay "Crystal" starring Trans-model Arisce Wanzer. Last year, Relf garnered a BronzeLens Award for producing “Catching Up”, which won the “Best Short Film” category, directed by Fowzi Adelsamad and just wrap Executive Producing and Assistant Directing “Live With It”, starring Jessica Betts, also directed by Abdelsamad. Director Statement

If we all had an opportunity to talk about the tools that we possess that could humanize the disenfranchised, the ostracized, the ridiculed, the systemically oppressed, the judged, and the forgotten, I’d talk about cinema. “Another Xmas Dinner” highlights the dual stories of a young transwoman’s forgiveness and love of her unaccepting father--while also exploring her father’s deep sense of failure. His anger but endearing honesty of not understanding another human’s choices, in this case, the son that he raised, that’s now his daughter, brings a very human quality to someone that other-wise is simply stamped “The Bad Guy”. “Another Xmas Dinner” presents the commercial world of Christmas, but beautifully disrupts it with Tamira’s very real-life (which represents other women like her) that’s often misunderstood, and placed in society's endless box of assumptions. With accessible characters that have relatable feelings, “Another Xmas Dinner” is warm, emotional, a fresh timeless classic and a holiday film reimagined.
