ANIMALS & TRAVEL

“ ANIMALS & TRAVEL”

The short film ANIMALS AND TRAVEL illustrates the exibition that bears the same name and the work of the two
artists and brothers Roberto and Giuliano Radici. The short movie talks about unfulfilled travels and imagined animals,
which are the result of a world whose rules have been changed.
For the same reason the movie is also a tool to explore 2020 in retrospect . The year has marked the world and
especially Brescia one of the most effected places by the pandemic.
Photography and Painting share a space where Giuliano’s imaginary travels and Roberto’s shape-shifter animals are
tightly intertwined to the artistic exploration of the Pandemic and of its suspended, dilated and out of control times.
The tv set provides a sort of implicit caption where we see some of the most dramatic images of the programs broadcast
between March and June 2020.
These images use art curator Sergio Bonometti’ words and words of Journalist Beatrice Mazzocchi as if they were a tv
report.
These ideas blend with the brothers’art in an effort to heal a city’s wound though art and its inclusive and reflective
attitude.
ANIMALS AND TRAVEL is an acceptance of the disaster as a reflective journey and it is a fantastic tale.
Different perceptions combine to release the reviving energy inherent in every crisis and to create a culure of creativity.
The short film is a tribute to art that creats, listens and engages. It explores the pandemic among monsters and reality . It
stimulates the culture of social relations and of sharing and exploration.
