Ainhoa Alarcón García is a producer, director, and screenwriter, born in Móstoles on January 13, 2003. She is currently studying Audiovisual and Live Show Production at IES Luis Buñuel in Móstoles, after previously graduating in Plastic Arts and Design in Photography from Escuela Arte10.
Ainhoa was one of the eight winners of the second edition of the CIMA10 Short Script Contest, organized by CIMA and Prime Video, which gave her the opportunity to create her first short film: He Didn't Do Anything to Me. The film is available on Prime Video, as well as on Vimeo and YouTube. As a young filmmaker, Alarcón seeks to address issues that impact the new generation, creating stories they can relate to and reflect on.
Making this short film has been a very personal journey. It allowed me to let go of something I had been carrying for a long time. Thanks to the support of my school, CIMA and Prime Video, I was able to create this story with the care and sensitivity it needed, although I wish I had had more time to explore it further.
“He didn’t do anything to me” was made for those whose voices have been silenced. My intention was not only to raise awareness, but to offer comfort to anyone who has gone through something similar. In a way, it’s a message to my younger self: you’re not alone, and things do get better.
As a first-year student with no previous experience in filmmaking, pulling off this project under such tight deadlines was a huge challenge. But it all came together thanks to the dedication of my classmates, the support of my teachers, and the guidance of the CIMA mentors.
This project has taught me so much, both professionally and personally. It has helped me work through my own trauma, open up about my story and close that chapter of my life. My only hope is that it reaches someone who needs it, and offers them a little strength, comfort, or inspiration.
