Iam. An odd given name, don't you think? Iam was born on New Year's Day in 1969. As a matter of fact he was the first child born in Monroe County Florida in 1969. His parents were big Jethro Tull fans and even bigger drug users, hence the name was to be Ian, after their hero Ian Anderson. But a typo and the lack of the $25. for a new birth certificate and Iam Whitley was his name. Iam was a scrawny child. An only child. He spent a lot of his time alone. Didn't have any friends at school. Lived in a neighborhood with few kids and his parents were high most of the time so he was neglected. Bullies were attracted to him because he wouldn't fight back. Iam became well versed in first aid. Eventually the bullying stopped. High school ended. His parents moved away when Iam was of legal age and now more than ever he was alone. It's hard to say what exactly triggered the following but he began to wear a mask. He appreciated Anonymous, the hacker group, but he fashioned his mask as an old man. It was his 'Image Mask' designed to keep people from seeing the real person behind the mask. Iam only wanted to expose his best parts, those that have been refined and presentable. It is written we hide our issues, our problems, our struggles, and our feelings. We hide our insecurity and our battle with our self-image. We do our best to hide our weaknesses. Iam was damaged goods until he wore the mask. It made him feel invincible. Unknowingly he began a self analysis which will show the viewers the struggle he faced within. Good versus evil. To Iam it was freedom of speech, the FAIR USE DOCTRINE... it was carte blanch, if you will. Iam was also a filmmaker. It was a natural for his personna to be Iam Anonymous. He would quickly become ANONYMOUS MOVING IMAGES and....well...you'll see in a bit. Some might say Iam was perverse. He would claim "it was art without boundaries. Look at TikTok for 10 minutes" he'd say, "now that's real perversion." Iam was also raised Roman Catholic. As a teenager he befriended an elderly woman in his building who convinced him one day to come to Church with her. His parents were blacked out so for lack of anything better to do....why not. By the following year Iam was baptized, confirmed, received Holy Communion and was a regular at Sunday Mass. You will see how this played a major part in his struggle with demons. The following took place on November 15 at 12pm and abruptly ended on Friday December 3. What started out as well wishes for the upcoming holiday season turned into an international incident and near ruination of a young scrawny kid from Monroe County.
