AMANTES
Three lesbians navigate their desires, fears, and contradictions in Paris.
Nour, an intense and impatient musician, falls for a woman who is both guarded and demanding. Their budding relationship wavers under the weight of Nour's rushed expectations.
Insecure Laura suggests to her two partners that they have a child to strengthen their throuple - unknowingly upending their already delicate balance.
Meanwhile Gabrielle, a respected therapist, is neglected by her workaholic partner who is too busy to notice the cracks forming. Gabrielle begins to dangerously bond with one of her patients…
Caught between doubts and desires, these romantic entanglements ask us : should I make the run for it, or should I commit ?
This movie is first of all an adventure, a feminist adventure carried by my friendships. We claimed our space to create it, starting with complete screenwriting freedom. We then pulled off this incredible bet : a feature film shot in 18 days, 15 sets and 12 talented actresses

Caroline Fournier is a French director and screenwriter whose work blends humor, pop culture, romantic comedy, and powerful explorations of identity and social justice. Based in France, she created Q la série and AMANTES, two bold, queer-centered projects that celebrate complex, unapologetic lesbian characters. Deeply committed to feminist and inclusive storytelling, she is also the co-founder of On ne compte pas pour du beurre, an independent children’s publishing house that challenges stereotypes and champions diverse representation from an early age.
