Through the lyrics of the song, the music video takes us through her memories as she comes to terms with accepting the loss of having to leave Lebanon unexpectedly due to war, now embracing the child within to find serenity after leaving her homeland.

Beneath the surface of Dangerous and Young, at times placid, with the power and undulation of a rising tide, is a familiar sea, deep and mysterious - in its depths a reflection even stronger than its sun-drenched shallows: the self of our youth, gone but never forgotten. As we go through this world and lose loved ones, loved places, and lost connections, we owe ourselves the celebration of our own past lives, and the melancholy that comes along with it. When Paul and Amanda brought D&Y to my attention, at once I heard the sound of the self-reflective siren’s call - to walk with our inner child, to love and to play… and to know… the pain that awaits in their world to come. First hand. In my own life I was fortunate enough in misfortune to experience a defining moment; a time when my childhood was suddenly pressed through the portal to adulthood, and on this subject many of my thoughts and explorations have centered in the last year, with the birth of one particular nephew who bears an unmistakable resemblance to the way I once carried myself, and seemingly never can again. It goes without saying that I accepted this call. It deserves to be mentioned that I am very glad that I did. The setting - an oceanfront menagerie of fun times, and inherent danger, the metaphorically rich carousel, love locks rusting in the salt air, and of course, the ocean herself. The visuals - a combination of the most modern, and the most vintage lenses I had available, used to weave the texture of memory’s romance… and mystique. The process of making this video, in itself was a revitalization of the tricks I wrestled from Murphy’s Law as a young filmmaker - and I swear that from the first sunrise on that empty oceanfront, I could feel the adventure of once again being… Dangerous and Young.
