Paul Davis, originally from the UK bounced back and forth from his London roots before finally settling in his aspirational home of New York City.
He worked for the Hearst Group of Media companies while always writing screenplays and short stories.
Finding himself in Arizona, he wrote and directed the film 'Cathedral Canyon' based on a real-life religious cult and its brutal take on child marriage and trafficking. The film won the 2014 Palm Beach International Film Festival Audience Choice award.
Co-DIRECTOR"S statement: "'ALORNOMORE' is very important to me. Of course, I am appalled by violence against women but what began to intrigue me were the societal and patriarchal structures in place around the world that enable it, either knowingly or not.
Julia L. Rosengren Biography
Julia L. Rosengren is a Brazilian actress, producer, and creator of short films. In 2020, she produced the socially-conscious music video Vou Banindo to raise awareness about environmental issues. That same year, she created and starred in Before Sunrise, where she played five distinct characters, earning over 20 awards at festivals around the world.
Julia also created and acted in the short film LEAVES, which addresses climate change and won more than 19 awards. Currently, she is set to release ALORNOMORE, a short film about laws and violence against women, which she co-wrote and directed with Paul Davis.
I never heard much about that so as I began to research, I started to find a voice for it. One not without some sardonic humor. Julia, the producer and co-director, and I found some remarkable ladies to give life to that voice. I think it packs a punch. It's a short I am very proud of."
