AKKA

the arrival of a young couple allows the ruins of a ghost town to come to life, taking human form. Disoriented, it is quickly attracted by a growing hissing sound, that will make it wander in search of its origin. The discovery of which will put it face to face with a truth that, up until that moment, it was not able to comprehend.

Director Biography - Mattia de Gennaro

Mattia de Gennaro was born in Bari on 6 March 2000.
He attended the "Liceo Classico L. Da Vinci" in Molfetta and, from October 2021, attends the course of "Cinema, photography and audiovisual" at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia.

Director Statement

The art of rebuilding a city is a complex matter, which manifests itself in putting together, in shaping what has been destroyed to give it a new time. What follows is the image of a city on whose skin are scattered deep scars, inexrootable. A city destined to be no longer the same, condemned, in many cases, to reminiscence. As long as there’s still something to remember or someone willing to.
There is something irreplaceable in what remains. Something that has to do with a pure time, not datable, through which to experience history and therefore regain consciousness.
Eternity is a stone story.
