Hiram is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he received a BA in Theatre Arts along with a minor in English and an Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate. He is primarily a costume and lighting designer, but he has also trained in acting methods like Meisner, Grotowski, and Clown. He has worked professionally as a costume designer, playwright, and costume assistant in Iowa City, Chicago, Atlanta, and Washington, DC. Following graduation, he was employed by Arena Stage for their 2016-2017 season where he assisted a slew of regional and Broadway designers. In the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Hiram has worked with All Star Theatre, Thirteen O’Clock Theatre, and Dancing at Tiffany’s as a costume and lighting designer. He is currently finishing a degree in Urban Planning at Arizona State University, and he is the Theatre Arts Director at Lamar Academy in McAllen ISD.
