AFROTŌPIA

Set in Equatorial Africa, in the heart of the Congo Basin, Afrotopia follows Ezekiel, a 25-year-old aspiring filmmaker who lives under the authority of his father, Maurice, a powerful businessman who opposes his artistic ambitions. Facing financial hardship, Ezekiel is forced to join the family logging business. Sent on a mission, he discovers that Maurice plans to exploit a sacred forest, the last refuge of an indigenous community. As he uncovers a buried colonial-era family tragedy, Ezekiel must choose between loyalty, personal freedom, and the fate of his people.

Afrotōpia portrays a contemporary, cross-cultural Africa, embracing the healing of historical wounds. It is an ecological and aesthetic manifesto, blending tradition and modernity.
