Director Biography - Alexander Baldreich

Alexander Baldreich has been actively interested in the movie world since 2004.

At the beginning he produced his first amateur short movies. After more than two years, in 2009, his first amateur feature film „Deadly Friendships“ was completed, which was funded by the program “Cash for Culture”.

In 2012 he graduated in directing and production at the Film School Zlín in Czech Republic.

In 2013 he started a Production internship at Constantin Entertainment in Munich. He also worked as a lighting technician for “Znamení koně” - also a TV series – in Czech Republic.

In July 2018 he completed his master's degree in Film, TV and Media Creation and Distribution at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.

In the years that followed, Alexander Baldreich produced several short movies, most of them also received the support from the states of Lower Austria, Carinthia and Upper Austria.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, he worked on his first independent western film with sci-fi elements, "The Stolen Time." It premiered in cinemas on March 6, 2025, and was also funded by the state of Lower Austria.
