Peccadillo

My name is Anthony R. W. Lopez, and I’m a filmmaker. I grew up in a family of creatives, and naturally, became a creative myself. By the time I was eight I was writing stories about fantastic places and drawing awesome characters every chance I got. For the longest time I wanted to be a comic book artist like my father. One of my favorite things to do when I wasn’t writing or drawing, however, was watching movies. I couldn’t get enough of the moving pictures on the screen. I started dabbling in moviemaking, completing a mockumentary about Australia when I was twelve. The response I got from audiences and peers was outstanding! From that point on I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

Years later I attended Brooks Institute in sunny Ventura, CA and earned my BA in film and video production, with a focus on directing and writing narrative movies. Upon my graduation in 2007 I began freelancing as a videographer, producing commercials and videos for businesses and individuals, which I continue to do to this day. However, my passion lies in narrative filmmaking, and whenever the opportunity arises, I produce short movies, documentaries, and am working on pursuing my dream of feature film production, with several projects in development right now.

In 2012 I officially opened the doors to my new movie production company, Cross Beyond, LLC, and my passion for crossing beyond the ordinary, beyond the obstacles, and beyond the boundaries of moviemaking in this digital age has never been higher.
