This film serendipitously came together after an intense discussion I had with my writer about a woman's lost of faith in a patriarchal structure.
"Finding Alice" sees Annie's existential conflict with her perceived controller of fate as she begins to turn away from her believes. Seeking to find answers and redefine her existence, Annie chances upon a book that encapsulates her childhood innocence and embarks on a journey to put her believes to test. She seemingly succeeds in discovering the truth, only to dance once again to an invisible tune.
Whether it is all in her mind done out of fear or she indeed succumbs to the omnipresent voice is anyone's guess.'Finding Alice' is a story about the lost of faith, longing for truth, and the desire for autonomy.
