Florencia Calcagno is a director and screenwriter.
Graduated in Law and in Film/TV, she started at Zoetropo Producciones by directing music videos.
Her first work is an experimental documentary film, titled THESIS: A POSTMODERN LOOK AT THE LEGACY OF MARCEL DUCHAMP (2007), about the career of the artist.
THE BOX MAN (2011) was her first narrative short film, about a man who lives with a box in his head. It took part of several film festivals and won five international awards.
Then, she wrote and directed MARGARITA (2017), her first feature-lenght film. The production of the film lasted five years and was completely independent.
Now, she is working in her next narrative film, MECHANICAL MONSTER.
