Mauro Colarieti was born on the first of April '97: the same year as Google, Titanic and the sheep Dolly. After living his first nineteen years in a small town in the North of Italy, he decided to move to Cornwall to study Film.
He has always been keen on arts and storytelling: he published his first book at seventeen years old, a LGBT coming of age novel called "Costellazione di brufoli" ("Constellation of pimples"), now translated in French, Spanish and Portoguese.
His favourite directors are Xavier Dolan, Lars von Trier, Sofia Coppola, Céline Sciamma and Tim Burton.
